It’s not a scam — Netflix really is offering a potential work-from-home job worth up to $900,000 a year.
Recently, the company posted a job opening for a “machine learning platform” product manager — in other words, someone who can create a workable “strategic vision” for artificial intelligence (AI) and help implement it.
The listing demands “extensive experience” working with machine learning platforms and a “high degree of technical understanding to be able to closely collaborate with engineers.” It’s not a hands-off role, Netflix says:
“The Netflix product management model is different from most technology companies. Our key product management leaders – including this position – work with multiple sprint teams but do not have direct reports. Consequently, we’re looking for experienced product leaders who are strategic and also like rolling up their sleeves.”
Leadership, writing capability, and business-minded strategic thinking are also expected.
The job is available at Netflix’s Los Gatos office in California, or can be remote as long as you live in the Pacific time zone. “Some travel” is expected for remote workers. The posted pay range is $300,000 to $900,000, and Netflix specifies this is “total compensation,” not just salary.
Other high-paying open roles include a senior quality assurance analyst (up to $250,000) and a staff content designer (up to $550,000).
You can apply directly through Netflix’s website. No closing dates for applications are listed. And even if you don’t have the experience to use AI for making money, everyone can learn “8 of the Best Ways AI Can Save You Money.”
