Try This Amazon Prime Perk and Get a $30 Credit

Amazon is offering Prime members a free $30 credit for trying out its in-garage delivery option.

Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery lets you have Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market grocery orders delivered to your garage, as you can with all your other Amazon deliveries.

To use the service, you need to be able to open your garage door remotely with the myQ app on a smartphone. If don’t have one already, you first would have to purchase a myQ Smart Garage Hub — which costs around $30 on Amazon — to use In-Garage Delivery.

Amazon says you can purchase and install a camera in your garage that will allow you to watch deliveries in real time. Compatible cameras include the Ring Indoor Cam, the Ring Stick Up Cam and the myQ Smart Garage Camera.

Once your garage is properly enabled, Amazon drivers will receive temporary, one-time access to enter.

According to Amazon:

“Amazon verifies the package and driver’s location before the door opens. The driver then places your delivery safely inside your garage.”

Drivers who make these deliveries also undergo background checks.

To see if the In-Garage Delivery service for groceries is available in your area, Amazon Key webpage and type in your ZIP code.

If you’ve never placed an In-Garage Delivery order for groceries before, you can take advantage of Amazon’s current offer for a free $30 credit when you place your first order this way.

Once your garage is equipped, place an order for groceries from Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods by June 30, 2022, and choose Key Delivery and enter promo code “KEY30” during checkout to claim the credit.

The credit can be used on products sold by Amazon and expires July 14, 2022.
