- Durability
- Variety of features
- Warranty
- Customer service
Following are the best-rated mattresses among both online shoppers and those who purchased a mattress in a store. Incidentally, the same three brands came out on top in both categories.
The best-rated mattress brands online
When shopping online, customers surveyed by J.D. Power paid an average of $939 for their mattress. The average customer satisfaction score among mattress brands purchased this way is 866 out of 1,000.
The mattress brands whose scores topped that average are:
- Tempur-Pedic: 902
- Sleep Number: 896
- Purple: 889
- Casper: 870

When shopping in a store, surveyed customers paid an average of $1,192 for their mattress. The average customer satisfaction score among mattress brands purchased this way is 855 out of 1,000.
The brands that topped that average score are:
- Sleep Number: 881
- Purple: 879
- Temper-Pedic: 862
