The 10 Most Popular ‘Money’ Podcasts of the Year

A new year brings a fresh start, a chance to wipe the slate. But as it turns out, the money topics that folks wondered and worried about most in 2021 are the same ones that are top of mind now in 2022. At least, if the most popular episodes of “Money!” are any indication.

We dove into our archives recently and found that the 10 most-downloaded episodes of our “Money!” podcast have a few themes in common: how to earn more on your savings despite rock-bottom interest rates and rising inflation, how to invest when the stock market seems more unpredictable than ever, and how to ensure your golden years actually gleam.

Sounds familiar, right? It’s no wonder. As 2022 dawns, savings account rates average 0.06% while annual inflation stands at 6.8%. The S&P 500 stock market index is a whopping 27% higher than it was one year ago. And any — or all — of those factors could crack a nest egg wide open.

The good news is that we’ve already given you tools to navigate financial times like these — and we will bring you even more in 2022.

So take a look at the top “Money!” episodes of the past year. In each of these episodes, we offer insight and advice that will serve your finances well in the new year — and we do it without making your eyes glaze over:
