Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the added 0.18% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index gained 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the were Stellantis NV (EPA:), which rose 2.33% or 0.43 points to trade at 18.89 at the close. Meanwhile, TotalEnergies SE (EPA:) added 1.93% or 1.19 points to end at 63.00 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:) was up 1.62% or 1.20 points to 75.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:), which fell 2.36% or 1.24 points to trade at 51.40 at the close. Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) declined 1.64% or 2.72 points to end at 163.30 and EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:) was down 1.56% or 2.80 points to 176.58.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:) which rose 4.84% to 6.98, Valneva (EPA:) which was up 3.53% to settle at 5.86 and ALD SA (EPA:) which gained 2.77% to close at 6.50.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:) which was down 18.73% to 0.40 in late trade, Clariane SE (EPA:) which lost 3.38% to settle at 2.80 and Soitec SA (EPA:) which was down 3.19% to 164.10 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 253 to 252 and 120 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.42% or 8.25 to $1,976.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.00% or 2.28 to hit $78.32 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.78% or 2.24 to trade at $82.85 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 103.30.
