Payroll report suggests that there’s still lots of hiring going on

The numbers: Private-sector employment jumped by 296,000 in April and hit a nine-month high, payroll processor ADP said, in a sign the U.S. labor market is still going strong.
The increase in hiring was much larger than expected. Economists polled by the Wall Street Journal had forecast a gain of 133,000 private-sector jobs.
