Choosing the right household appliance brand is a big deal for homeowners. Nobody wants to be saddled with a product that performs below par or is constantly breaking down.

With that in mind, consumers may want to take a close look at the household appliance manufacturers that ranked highest in the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index.

More than 14,000 customers were surveyed for the study and asked to evaluate their experiences using the products of some key manufacturers.

Based on their replies, three companies scored higher than the average of 81 out of 100 points. Here are the overachievers you may want to consider when you buy your next appliance.

Haier

LG Electronics is a major technology and consumer electronics company with more than 74,000 employees. The company was founded in 1958, and its headquarters are in Seoul, South Korea.

Whirlpool

Whirlpool’s roots stretch back more than a century to 1911. The company — which was founded in Benton Harbor, Michigan — says its vision is to “be the best kitchen and laundry company, in constant pursuit of improving life at home.”
